About me

I’m a husband, father and lover of carbs (although its a love/hate relationship with the carbs). Born and raised in Miami. I like to joke that I’m one of the five people from here. Most of my family is spread out across South Florida from Cutler Bay to Lake Worth. When I’m not working (it happens occasionally) you will find me on the basketball court or skiing/mountain biking in Colorado. I’m the second oldest out of five children. The Suttas are actually a very talented family. We have a pop star, a brother who runs Microsoft’s Xbox and a couple musicians.

In addition to running a photography company I have worked for NBC and CBS News as a reporter. My Emmy award winning work is currently featured on newscasts on CBS4. Since 2008 I have won 17 Emmys and been nominated more than 40 times. Yes, I have quite a collection of statues! Most people are surprised I run a photography/video company in addition to the TV work. Since I was a youngster I have always been in front of and behind the camera. It’s a passion I truly enjoy. By operating my own small business I have the opportunity to expand creatively and grow. I have been very fortunate to work with and learn from some of the most creative people in the story telling business.

About DSP…

David Sutta Photography is the product of my passion for true photojournalism. This passion began years ago with a Canon Rebel camera and a little too much free time. Over time a hobby evolved (along with the gear) into a successful full service photography and video company. Since the beginning, the best part about my job has been capturing special moments, while adding my own creative eye.

Over the years we have added a select group of artists to help deliver high quality content. Most of this team has been a part of the DSP family for five or more years now. Each person offers a niche knowledge of their craft such as videography, photo booth design, video editing, album design etc. The team is comprised of talented people with a positive can-do attitude. It’s sadly something rare to find in South Florida some times. What I love about our team approach is your photos and videos become a collaboration. Each of us striving to make your experience the best it can be. While you are always hiring me for your shoot, you should know you are also getting our talented team as well

Our resume includes a wide range of photo shoots. From awesome prints hanging on clients walls to commercial billboards that overlook major South Florida highways we have just about done it all! With that said, I strongly believe no client is the same. While one may prefer a traditional style of photography another may want a photojournalistic approach. I find many clients want both. I am very flexible and will always work closely with you to make sure you not only get what you want out of your shoot but that you are WOWed by the results.

-WE TAKE ON A LIMITED AMOUNT OF PROJECTS: We strive to give you the attention to detail you deserve that’s why David Sutta Photography takes on a limited amount of projects each year. This also ensures quality and timely return of your edited photos. Most shoots are posted to your online gallery within two weeks, sometimes even sooner.

– YOU WILL PAY FOR THE ARTIST’S TIME, NOT BY THE PHOTO: I never understood why people pay the photographer to take pictures, then pay for each photo individually. You will get EVERY photo I take via our online client site and/or thumb drive. If you want prints, you can order them through our client online service. Prints come from the same professional lab the other guys are using, except you’ll pay what I’m paying for them.

– YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABLE TO REACH ME: Photographer not calling you back? Not responding to your emails? That will never happen with us.

Our success has been built on our attention to detail, incredible images, and most of all you. I know none of this would be possible if not for you… our clients who gave us an opportunity. Thank you for your support over the years as we continue to grow!
