Reflecting on 2011 Inspirations
It's hard to believe how much has happened this year. I could quantify it in numbers... More than 50 shoots, 10,000 photos, 16,000 visitors to this site, in the running for a WeddingWire Bride's Choice Award... and the list goes on. But beyond the numbers what happened this year ultimately was inspiration.
"Be Inspired" was the common theme for us here at DSP in 2011. It's more than a slogan or a tag line. Your love, moments, and families inspired me to be a better photographer, better boss, better partner for our venders, better family man, and all around a better person. Your inspiration helped my work excel more in the last year than the past five.
Over the last week as I put together our annual year-in-review video I couldn't help but smile. We touched so many lives this year, capturing their most precious moments. It's really remarkable and rewarding. I can only hope we can make 2012 even better (it will be hard to top). If you haven't already, hit play to see a recap of the year in pictures. Please click here for the mobile version of the video.
I would like to close 2011 with a big thank you to all our clients, staff (Amanda and Joshua!), and my family. Without you my dream of building a photography company from the ground up wouldn't be a reality. Big things are in the works for the next year including building video/film division. I can't wait to see where things go!
May 2012 bring you the very best in life,
David
p.s. A special thanks to Shawn Sutta for lending his exceptional talents for the original soundtrack for this video. The first of many Sutta collaborations!
p.s.2 This year's New Year's resolution... take more pictures.
p.s.3 The biggest compliment you could ever give us is a referral. If you loved your gorgeous photos please let the world know. Share this email, our blog, and your photos with your friends and family! I promise will treat them better than a sibling!
